When Lisca, in the 1960s, carried its creativity and expertise from the world of lingerie into swimwear, it was a groundbreaking decision.
By the late ’60s, people were going on holidays more often, and in 1969 Lisca launched its very first swimwear program. The designs carried over much of the knowledge and craftsmanship developed through lingerie making. The debut collection was not only comfortable but also stylish and appealing—both to local customers and international buyers.

Swimwear offered women more freedom to express themselves. Bold colors, lively patterns, and daring cuts dominated. In the 1980s, established fashion norms were shaken by the arrival of the thong—briefs that fully revealed the backside and challenged many social taboos. Lisca first introduced them to the German market.
For decades now, swimsuits have been more than just a fashion item—they’ve become a symbol of freedom, comfort, and boldness. Over the years, many well-known models and fashion figures have posed in Lisca swimwear, from Saša Zajc and Nina Gazibara to Martina Kajfež and other style icons.

Looking back at past designs makes it clear how often retro trends return. Nature-inspired motifs, animal prints, daring cuts, and vibrant colors have reappeared throughout the decades, each time reminding us of freedom and summer ease. Bikinis and high-waisted bottoms prove that certain trends never truly disappear—they resurface from time to time, delighting a new generation all over again.
