Today, it’s hard to imagine life without a bra — and we’ve become rightfully demanding when choosing one. After all, it needs to keep up with every twist and turn of our modern lives.
We expect a lot from it: a perfect fit, just the right support, a touch of seduction while remaining invisible under clothes. It should be the right color, with details we love — lace, crystals, bows, sheer panels. Discreet, yet powerful.
A Lisca bra today offers all of this. But its story began back in 1955, in a very different time. Bras were rare, sought-after items. And yet, a small team of just five people — including Pavla Lisec, Katica Valand, and Dora Božič — saw an opportunity.
They needed imagination and ingenuity. The first bras were bulky, made from heavier, less flexible materials that offered little comfort. While today’s bras stand for freedom, the focus back then was on strong support and shaping the silhouette.
Now a wardrobe essential, bras were once also a symbol of elegance and social status. Over the years, experience, trends, and advances in materials brought more femininity, comfort, and sophistication.
Lisca rose to fame across the former Yugoslavia with the iconic Majda bra — and so began a true success story.
